Im a new student to the art and design world and our professors encourages us to look at all sorts of art and note our thoughts and I really enjoy this piece.

The highlights and gradients are in the perfect places to illustrate the contours and shadows without flaw. While I'm not a huge fan of the type it does a great deal to depict depth and perspective of this mask, it gives the illusion its really floating or hanging on a wall. I couldn't really think of what could replace that type because if you do the depth goes with it. Additionally the color of the type really helps to make the shadows on this face really pop.

You capture the essence of terror with his eye sockets and I am really impressed at how uncomfortable this mask makes me just looking at it.

The ability to convey emotional response that strong to your viewers is a a quality I wish more artists had, including myself. Im looking forward to seeing what's next!!
